to the Mid South Victory Churches!
Welcome
to the Mid South Victory Family. We are a nondenominational and
Spirit filled family of regional churches that are sharing with
our area the same spirit of Victory that can be found in our national
and international family of churches. We are Word based, Christ
centered, and family focused. Our approach to worship is contemporary,
and there is no dress code…come as you are. Our messages
are relevant and life encouraging. Our membership is racially
diverse…red, yellow, black and white, we are all precious
in His sight.
Our mandate is simple: to Reach, Teach, and Mobilize.

Embracing
the New Testament model of evangelization through the planting
of vibrant new churches, our Mid South Victory Churches are committed
to the planting of at least 10 area churches.
Our first church was Rejoice Christian Fellowship Church in Olive
Branch, which was founded by Pastors George & Cathy Black in May
of 1995. George and Cathy serve as the Regional Pastors, overseeing
all planted churches, with Rejoice Church serving as the headquarters
or "mother church" for the Mid South region, which includes Mississippi,
Louisiana, Arkansas and Tennessee.
Faith Victory Church in Hernando Mississippi was planted out of
Rejoice Church in June of 2008 with a seed of Rejoice leaders
and members. It is our second regional church, and is led by Pastors
David & Annette Hanlon. The Hanlon's served in the Rejoice Church
for seven years, and were bi-vocational Associate Pastors when
sent to begin the Hernando church.
The Victory Church - West in Southaven/Horn Lake was planted in
January of 2010 with another seed of Rejoice leaders and members.
Led by Pastors Greg & Sharrah Gervais, they formerly served as
associate/evangelism/youth pastors at Rejoice. Sharrah served
on staff for 9 years and Greg for 4.5.

Churches on the Way
The
Mid South Victory Churches have the spiritual DNA of church planting,
beginning with the Rejoice Church, which began as a new church
plant in 1995. Rejoice was not affiliated with Victory at the
time, but the founding pastors already had the apostolic mantle
for church planting on their lives, having already served in seven
previous churches and participating in two previous church plants
in Louisiana and Texas. Every tree has a limit, but a forest of
trees is unlimited. Rejoice Church was the first "tree"
in our regional forest, Faith Victory Church is our second tree,
and the third tree is The Victory Church - West. The Bible says
a threefold cord is not easily broken.
Our ministry approach to building a region is best understood
as one regional church family meeting in multiple locations. The
planting of our Hernando church was not the beginning of an independent
church, but rather the extension of the Olive Branch "mother"
church through the investment of trained leaders who have proven
themselves as true "Timothy's", sons and daughters in
the faith. Our new churches work under the direct oversight of
the Rejoice mother church for the beginning years, and later we
continue to be bound together through regional covering, covenant
relationships, shared leadership, vision and purpose within the
Mid South Victory Family.
Now in 2010 we have three churches that will cooperate together
on the planting of the fourth church, and so on. For each of these
new churches, our goal is to reach the un-reached in the regions
beyond, not build through transfer growth from other churches.
"For we are not overextending ourselves (as though our authority
did not extend to you), for it was to you that we came with the
gospel of Christ; {15} not boasting of things beyond measure,
that is, in other men's labors, but having hope, that as your
faith is increased, we shall be greatly enlarged by you in our
sphere, {16} to preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and
not to boast in another man's sphere of accomplishment."

YOUR CHURCH CAN JOIN US: We also know there will be established
churches that resonate with our same vision that will want to
join our Mid South Victory Family as adopted churches. Every believer
needs a church home, and every church needs a family of churches.
Independence is not the answer to denominationalism, and denominationalism
is not the answer to independence. God is greater than both. Therefore,
our Mid South Victory Churches will never become independent or
denominational. We are a family of churches committed to covenant
relationships, and not control. If love doesn't work, we don't
try anything else.
Our Mid South Victory Churches are also a part of a larger, nondenominational
fellowship of churches known as Victory Churches USA and Victory
Churches International. This fellowship is committed to world
evangelization through church planting, and enables us to be a
part of a Global vision. While Victory Churches is our fellowship,
because we are nondenominational, we are also free to embrace
the larger body of Christ. Victory Churches first, but not Victory
Churches only. We recognize that Victory Churches is just a small
part of God's Great Big Plan, and we embrace fellowship wherever
Christ is glorified.
BIBLE COLLEGE ON THE WAY: In the future we will be reopening our
Mid South Victory Bible College. There is more information at
the tab marked Bible College, but the secret to sustaining our
regional church planting vision is having a Bible College to train
our future leaders. All of the regional pastors will be invited
to serve as staff teachers.
